Eu Yan Sang’s Bo Ying Compound, containing 16 natural ingredients, is ideal for when the baby catches a bad cold or cries non-stop at night. The ingredients in the compound include Calculus Bovis, Rhizoma Gastrodiae, Margarita and Ramulus Uncariae Cum Uncis, which can fight fever, calm nerves, ease coughing and reduce phlegm. In fact, the compound was recently named best in its class by a local parenting magazine.
As there are no additives in the compound, parents of children between one and 10 won’t have to worry about side effects. “The Bo Ying Compound available on the market right now has gone through a rigorous assessment and is perfect for children with fever, coughing, vomiting, night crying and lack of appetite,” reveals Senior Physician Wu. Wong Shi Xuan, a Senior Executive with EYS Innovation Labs, also reveals that the compound’s ancient formula has been tweaked to meet regulatory demands and accommodate new research.
However, there are a few precautions to keep in mind. Senior Physician Wu advises parents to consult a TCM physician and ensure that the baby avoids raw, spicy and oily food. Vegetarians or children who are G6PD-deficient should refrain from taking the compound altogether. If the baby does not show any sign of improvement after seven days of taking Bo Ying Compound, a trip to the clinic is highly advisable.
